The psycho-neurological institution can accommodate up to 110 men over the age of 18. Some inhabitants need constant outside care, medical and domestic services. The rest are in the geriatric ward (nursing home).

The department is equipped in two former buildings of the Central District Hospital and is designed for 50 men.
The main psycho-neurological institution is located 95 kilometers from the center of Zaporizhzhia, south of Novonikolaevka (Zaporizhzhia-Donetsk highway), in the steppe, 6 km from the village of Lyubitskoe.
The wards living in the psycho-neurological institution belong to different categories.
In the administrative building on the second floor there are several rather cozy rooms for young inhabitants to live, who can take care of themselves. Perhaps some of these guys could adapt to an independent life, do simple work.
In one of the buildings there are bedridden inhabitants with cerebral palsy or severe neuropsychiatric diseases. These people need special care and the help of volunteers to organize walks in the fresh air.
A certain part of inhabitants with psycho-neurological disorders has a violent criminal past, but nevertheless they are in a psycho-neurological institution without security and are served by female nurses (there are not so many men in the staff).
There are also elderly men in thepsycho-neurological institution who do not have psycho-neurological disorders, but are here according to social indicators. These are geriatric wards, i.e., in fact, part of the psycho-neurological institution is a nursing home. These people live almost ordinary lives, trying to arrange their rooms as their own home, watching TV, reading newspapers, etc. Many of the wards are former residents of the city, and they miss the city life very much - after all, there are only steppes around the psycho-neurological institution for several kilometers.
Despite their illnesses and developmental features, all residents of the Lyubitsy orphanage, like each of us, want to be happy. And everyone can make their life a little happier, not paying attention to our differences!
Needs of a psycho-neurological institution:
- communication, moral and spiritual support of inhabitants;
- volunteer assistance to inhabitants who are unable to move independently;
- organization of concerts, excursions outside the psycho-neurological institution;
- rehabilitation, social and physical;
- selection of occupations / employment of those who can perform certain work (candle making, product assembly, needlework, beading, gardening, etc.);
- creative and sports development of the wards (singing, drawing, crafts, sports);
- organization of tourist events;
- assistance in returning to an independent life in society (for those whose diagnosis allows);
You can also transfer a donation and Helpus volunteers will organize an interesting event for the inhabitants (for example, to organize a concert, we only need money for gasoline to deliver artists).
