In Poltava region, a place is being prepared for the Bakhmut psycho-neurological institution - they are going to move the institution there. There will be 150 beds for future residents.
Free Radio journalists learned about this from the response to an information request from the social protection department of the Donetsk State Administration.
"Currently, measures are being taken to relocate the "Bakhmut psycho-neurological institution" for operation in the Poltava region, where it is planned to deploy 150 beds for residents of the Donetsk region who find themselves in difficult life circumstances and need evacuation and further third-party care," says the answers.
Now the buildings and the territory where they want to place the institution are being put in order.
By February 24, 2022, 10 residential institutions were operating in Donetsk region, where about 2.3 thousand people lived. After the start of open war, people were evacuated to safer regions of Ukraine and abroad.
As a reminder, a rehabilitation center for people with disabilities has been operating in Ivano-Frankivsk since September 2022, which left Kramatorsk after the start of a full-scale invasion.
