From the pier of the rescue station of the central beach of Zapozizhzhia, Roman Kirchenko, a volunteer of the Adult Assistance Fund, went to a small uninhabited island in the middle of the Dnieper. Here he will stay until Friday, August 28.
The purpose of the experiment is to draw public attention to helping people who are "overboard". People who are left alone with their problems.
"We want the "Man overboard!" signal received by sailors to become effective in our daily life. So that we are not afraid to provide support to those who need it" - spoke about the motives for his participation at the event, Roman.
During the experiment, funds will be raised for the treatment of Ekaterina Balyka, a mother of two children who underwent a kidney transplant and now needs constant drug therapy. How you can help Katya is written on her page on the foundation's website.
Volunteer Roman Kirchenko will keep his diary of his stay on the island on the page of the event "Man overboard!" in social networks.
About my impressions of my stay on the island, about the results of the social experiment "Man overboard!" we plan to tell at a special press conference on Friday, August 28th. We will inform you about the time and place of the event.
