We are initiating a collection of $2,600 for the purchase of gas blocks and roofing materials to complete our home for people with mental disabilities. We already have the foundation for this extension.
The expansion of this house in Shcherbynivka, Cherkasy region, will increase the area by 32 square meters. This will allow for the addition of a kitchen and two bedrooms, accommodating 2 more people, bringing the total capacity to 5 individuals.
During the war, many psychiatric boarding schools in the east and south of Ukraine were destroyed, and others were evacuated to different regions. Consequently, all boarding schools are currently overcrowded, and living conditions, which were already poor, have further deteriorated. In some instances, 8-25 people share one room, with as little as 3-4 square meters per person.
In Shcherbynivka, a relatively safe location, we aim to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to lead a better quality of life in a cozy house, work, and integrate into the community.
We would greatly appreciate your reposts and donations!
We welcome collaboration with manufacturers of building materials! We are confident that together, we can make a small but significant impact on the lives of these 5 special individuals."
