A bakery will be installed in this room
The slogan "Fashion of the soul and heart" defines the essence of an event designed to aid the most vulnerable segment of the population through style and beauty. The ongoing war has imposed challenges on every Ukrainian, but not everyone can navigate these circumstances, especially individuals with special needs. In response, Ukrainian designers have come together to make a positive impact on their lives.
The Stanislav Skarbek Monastery Castle, situated in the village of Zaklad, Stryi district, Lviv region, houses a psycho-neurological boarding school catering to individuals with permanent intellectual or mental disabilities. Presently, the institution provides care for 200 individuals, including a significant number of temporarily displaced persons from frontline territories.
The director of the ENT Department of the Hrushkiv Psychoneurological Boarding School emphasizes, "We have individuals who, due to their health conditions, require external care, medical assistance, and rehabilitation. However, the Skarbek Castle is currently in urgent need of substantial investments to ensure proper functioning and provide decent living conditions."
The living conditions of the residents of Skarbek Castle leave much to be desired.
The situation came to the attention of designer Iryna Luzhetskaya and Lilia Buynia, a director-producer of fashion shows and a model with over 10 years of experience.
They decided to initiate a new project called "Fashion Life." The aim of this event is to raise funds for establishing a bakery within the boarding school branch. The residents of the institution will be involved in baking bread, contributing to their social rehabilitation and adaptation to life in society. Additionally, this initiative aims to enable them to provide for themselves economically by producing their own bread, which is more cost-effective than purchasing it daily in large quantities.
Lilia Buyna notes, "This will be an unusual fashion event where our designers will have the opportunity to present unique collections, showcasing creativity and expressing their identity through their products. It combines creativity, aesthetics, the uniqueness of Ukrainian culture with charitable initiatives."
Around eight designers, not only from Ukraine but also from Poland, will participate in the event. The lineup includes artists such as Vitaliy Oks, Oksana Trach, young Victoria Femyak, musician Mykola Oberets, and DJ Andriy Stasyshyn.
Iryna Luzhetska, from the Iryna Luzhetska brand, will present a collection called "Free," designed for active individuals who value comfort and are accustomed to being the center of attention. Inspired by the courage and steadfastness of Ukrainian women in the face of challenges, Luzhetska advocates for comfortable fashion that doesn't compromise on ease of movement, allowing individuals to express creativity and activity.
The All-Ukrainian event will take place at the country complex "Panska Gora," supported by designers and brands of the new generation. Attendees interested in supporting the boarding school's residents will have the opportunity to view the new "Spring-Summer 2024" collections.
